Prevention Magazine along with the American Podiatric Medical Association recently named Hastings as one of the top three best walking cities in Nebraska. The number of places to walk in Hastings is higher than in most communities with more than 260 acres of parks, several miles of walking trails and sidewalks throughout the community. Hastings was ranked fourth in the state for parks per square mile, and it earned the state's second-highest Walk Score with a score of 88 out of 100.
